Financial Advisor Position Open - Portland, OR: We are looking for a Financial Advisor that wants to join a dynamic team of fee-based financial advisors. Our team is looking for a talented and caring individual who will give excellent financial advice and planning to our current clients while bringing in new clients of their own.

Who we are looking for:

As Financial Advisor for Strategic Group Financial Advisors, Inc. you would be responsible for helping to continue our impressive revenue growth by developing new clients for the firm and providing them with excellent financial advice.

The ideal candidate for this position will be someone who is highly ambitious, confident in their abilities and able to develop a book of business from the ground up.

Must have an entrepreneurial approach to business and life.

Develop new accounts on a regular basis by continually engaging in a variety of prospecting activities.

Must have the knowledge and confidence to evaluate a client's needs, risk tolerance, tax situation, and goals and provide ongoing financial advice to that client.

Job Requirements

Preferred 3 years of financial services experience or professional designation

Exceptional interpersonal skills

Must have been a Portland Metro resident for at least 3 years

College degree preferred

Must have reliable transportation

Ability to work with little supervision and manage your own time effectively

If you do not have the appropriate licensing, you will be required to obtain them before starting the position

A rigorous background check including criminal check and credit check is required

Salary and compensation: You will be provided with a competitive guaranteed base during ramp up period, and generous commission plan after that. If you are able to consistently produce results over time, you may also be eligible for partial ownership in the firm.

Benefits: Full medical benefits are provided immediately for the employee, as is 100% vision. Retirement plan with 3% company match and immediate vesting is provided.
